BUFFALO SPRINGS TRAINING CAMP 2009 -  COST- $299     (25 person limit)

Camp only- Friday afternoon and Saturday, race on Sunday.  Details will be sent when finalized

  OR  $375   CAMP PLUS  (LIMITED to 5 people)  Computrainer Spin Scan analysis of pedal stroke efficiency and threshold testing- ( limited to 5 people to be done Friday morning before 1pm camp start.)

 

 

This Mini camp is designed to minimize time off of work (Travel Fri morning)  to attend, yet maximize the most with the time we do have.

It is geared to those attending any Long Distance event this season but specifically the Buffalo Springs 70.3 event on June 30th 2009. 

This  1.5 days consists of as much training as can be fit in following the tentative schedule: 

 

FRIDAY:    (IF doing CAMP PLUS then meeting at 7a.m.- Valuable 'before you ride' testing with closer, small group Q & A  contact with the coach.  Note: This is not Vo2 or Blood Lactate testing) 

1pm-                    Meet and greet - Planning the weekend

1:30-2:30-           Nutrition for training and racing- Discussing caloric burn rates- - myths and truths  

2:30- 3:30            Redline racing and training Methodology - address the "variables" of training, covering Heart Rate, Power, Efficiency, Body Awareness,!

3:30-4:30            Core training! IMPORTANT!  Race and Training Recovery   followed by a  30minute  awesome REDLINE-MULTIFIT CORE training class (workout) - How to keep specific strength training in your plan!

4:30-5                  Preview 70.3 Courses             

 6:30pm-            Meet at Lake for open water swim instruction and swim

 8p.m.                Running the 70.3 course ( Yes, we will be finishing in the dark, makes for a  unique moonlit  run, reflective clothing and lights are a must)

SATURDAY:         

 7a.m. to 1         Riding the 70.3 IM course in its entirety- ( typically leaving straight from the hotel, which will over distancing it a bit- ) Extra time to be spent at the climbing portions of the course to discuss climbing skills/technique. Riding with you, talk you through what do you feel when climbing....

1pm- 2:00                Running technique ( yes, after we see what you do first Saturday)  with delayed transition run/  hill repeats/ technique work

Packet Pick Up for Sundays race...nap :)

4pm.-5:00            Transition training 

 5-6                  Race Day performance/ Mental  Strengths and Weaknesses- lets go beyond just visualization...what makes  1 athlete perform better than the other? 

6-6:30              Open forum- recap of courses- Q/A  

SUNDAY:           Post race- informal  analysis and discussion available.       

        NOTE: This particular camp's classroom time is intensive and short to allow more time on the course,  spending time with seasoned athletes where coaching is best...when we can see you doing what you do and enlightening you on the road! Will it tire you out for Sunday's Race? Maybe....
